The album honors those moments of support and the shoulders we stand on as we find our own way forward. Musically, the record moves through jazz, soul, Brazilian rhythm, funk, electronic textures, and more aggressive electric sounds, reflecting the many influences and communities that have shaped Benjamin Adamson’s musical life. Trumpet and flugelhorn remain at the center, surrounded by synths, Rhodes, vibraphone, guitar, percussion, and deeply improvisational rhythm sections.
