STARGATE

Stargate is a record about passage — the moment when we step beyond what is familiar and into something unknown. It explores change, uncertainty, loyalty, distance, possibility, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. The “stargate” becomes a metaphor for transformation: a doorway between who we have been and who we might become.
Across the record, those ideas appear in different forms. “Ride or Die” is about commitment and the people who remain beside us through change. “Oceans Between Us” confronts distance and the forces that can separate people while still leaving a connection underneath. “Muddled Matrix” lives inside confusion and complexity, while “Intrepidation” captures the tension between fear and the desire to move forward anyway. “Our Season” looks toward the moment when perseverance, timing, and possibility finally come together.
Musically, Stargate is the most electric and hard-driving of the three records. Jazz improvisation collides with psychedelic rock, funk, electronic sound, punk energy, and heavy rhythmic grooves. Trumpet moves through distorted textures and expansive arrangements, while the musicians around it push the music between tightly constructed passages and moments of freedom.
At its heart, Stargate is about crossing a threshold. We cannot always know what is waiting on the other side, but transformation requires us to enter anyway — carrying our relationships, our experiences, our uncertainty, and our hope with us.
