Across the album, Benjamin Adamson explores ideas of patience, kindness, breath, listening to one's intuition, and connection. “Beginner’s Mind” reflects the willingness to approach life with openness and without assumption. “Be Kind to Yourself” turns that same compassion inward. “Breath Meditation” creates thirteen minutes of space to breathe, stretch, slow down, and return to the present moment, while “Hope Radio” brings warmth, movement, and optimism into the record. The title track, “Holding Space,” brings these ideas together — creating a place where reflection and connection can exist without needing an immediate answer. Musically, the album moves between jazz and chamber music, with elements of Brazilian music, meditation, and improvisation.
